Writing Guidelines

  1. Submitted full papers should not exceed 25 pages including appendices and references. The text should be written in Word format in “Times New Roman” typeface . The margins of all  pages of the papers should be as 4.5 cm from the left side, 4 cm from the right side, 5.5 cm from the top and 5 cm from the bottom of the paper.
  2. Title: The Turkish and English titles should be written on top of the Turkish and English abstracts in capital letters, at the center of the page, in Times New Roman typeface, with 12 print and in bold form.
  3. Author name(s) and address(es): The author/authors of the paper, should write the name(s), surname(s), institutional affiliation and e- mail address(es), with their academic title if available, in 10 print, at the center of the page, in bold and italic form. Correspondence authors should be specified in the footnote of the first page. Correspondence authors should be specified in the footnote of the first page.
  4. Abstract: At the first page of the paper, the Turkish and English titles, the Turkish and English abstracts that should not exceed 100 words and maximum 5 key words below the abstracts should appear in sequence. The abstracts should be written with single space, in 10 print, italic and in justified form.
  5. Section Titles: Section titles and subtitles should be written with 10 print, capital letters only at the first letter of the words and in justified form. Titles should be numbered in decimal system (such as 1., 1.1, 1.1.1 starting from the Introduction part.
  6. Main Text: The paragraphs should be written with 10 print, justified in alignment; with margins as left: 0 cm; right: 0 cm; special: the first line as 1 cm. 6 nk space should be left before and after each paragraph and the paragraphs should be written with single space. The page numbers should appear at the upper right side of the paper.
  7. The Tables and Figures: The titles of the tables and figures should be written on top of the tables and figures in bold letters in 10 font and should be numbered consecutively (Table 1, Table 2 and Figure 1, Figure 2, for example) and full bibliographic information should be placed underneath the tables and figures in 8 print. The text of the tables and figures should be written in 8-10 prints. Mathematical equations should be numbered consecutively, the equation numbers should be written in parentheses at the right margin.
  8. Citations: Citations should be made by using conjunction method in text. Explanation notes should be placed in footnotes with 8 print. Citations in text should include the last name(s) of the author(s), the year, and the page number(s). If there is no author’s name, the name of the institution should be used. For example: (Yüksel, 2003:5), (Yüksel & Murat, 2001:15), (Yüksel et al., 2000:10-12), (DPT, 2004:32).
  9. References: The list of references should be prepared in 10 print at the end of the manuscript. The references should start from the page where the manuscript ends and the references should be listed alphabetically with reference to the surnames of the cited author(s). When citing more than one publication of the same author, the date of publication should be started from the oldest one. When citing more than one publication of the same author for the same year, the references should be numbered in the list of references and in citations in the text by using letters such as a, b, c, … For example: 2003a,2003b, 2003c. When citing more than one publications of the same author including those of single and more than one co-author publications, the single author publication should be listed first.
